This safari begins with an 08:00 hrs pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive through the picturesque Kikuyu farmlands to the Aberdare Mountain Range. You will arrive just before lunch, which will be served at the Aberdare Country Club or Outspan Hotel. In the afternoon, pack an overnight bag and leave the rest of your baggage at the base hotel before transferring to the Ark Lodge or Treetops. During this transfer, you’ll enjoy en-route game viewing. The tree hotels have a unique policy of allowing only one overnight bag per person. At these lodges, guests can view wildlife from the comfort of the lodge or its viewing decks, which overlook a floodlit waterhole that attracts various animals, including elephants, rhinos, and buffalo.
The lodges offer a unique wildlife experience, allowing guests to observe animals as they gather to drink or lick salt at the waterhole situated in front of the lodge. This setup provides an excellent opportunity for close-up views of a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat, making it a memorable stay.
On the second day, after breakfast at the base hotel, you will check out and drive back to Nairobi. The safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport, ensuring a smooth and convenient end to your adventure.
